It can affect any joint in the body, but most commonly occurs in the shoulder, elbow, hip, or knee. The symptoms of bursitis can range from mild discomfort to severe pain and limited range of motion. The treatment of bursitis involves managing the pain and inflammation, as well as improving joint function. This paper will discuss the differential diagnosis of bursitis, the causes, symptoms, and treatment options available.
